Sourcetree - GIT client Installation

A library of git is often required for programming with Arduino, ESP, STM & Co.

For the management of the libraries there is a program "Sourcetree" which simplifies the handling and the download.

Let's download the Sourcetree client for the first time,

and start the installation:

Here we have to accept the license agreement and possibly deactivate the transfer of the data:

In the next step we need an account with Bitbucket or Atlassian. I declare a new account at Atlassain here.

Let's select Atlassian account:

Here, if an account already exists, we can enter the email or create a new account below "Sign up for an account", we click on this link.

Let's enter our email, name and password, confirm that we are human beings and click on "Sign up".

Now we look into our email inbox and confirm our email by clicking "Verify my email address":

After verifying, we can go back to the installation and log in:

After the entire registration and the login, we can select the desired program packages:

The program packages are downloaded, unpacked and installed:

A short time later, the installation is successfully completed:

To see all the data at the beginning, we select No in the subsequent pop-up window.

We also choose No for the SSH key:


We did it, We installed Sourcetree.

Programming with Arduino can now continue.

Hallo, ich möchte mit dem GY-302-Sensor am Arduino-Uno experimentieren. In dem Blog: “Neu im Shop: GY-302” wird empfohlen, eine Bibliothek von GitHub einzusetzen und in diesem Blog wird die Installation mit Sourcetree beschrieben. Leider scheint die Vorgehensweise nicht mehr auf dem aktuellen Stand zu sein. Ich komme nicht mehr weiter. Mir ist nicht klar, wie ich die GitHub-Source in meine Libraries bekomme. Gibts vielleicht einen guten Tip ? Vielen Dank im Voraus.
