Description

With this housing kit you can mount the well known Feather microcontroller boards from Adafruit, Sparkfun etc. on a DIN rail in control cabinets. The Feather board is not included in this housing kit.

Feather boards are available from different manufacturers and for different platforms:

  • RP2040
  • ESP32
  • ESP8266
  • Cortex M0
  • Cortex M4
  • SAMD51
  • STM32
  • nRF52840
  • uvm.

ArduiBox Feather is a compatible DIN rail enclosure set for all microcontroller and expansion boards (wings) of the above mentioned manufacturers.

The core is a board with integrated power supply and experiment board, which offers a slot for the microcontroller board and another slot for an expansion board - so called Featherwings. Of course, additional featherwings can be plugged onto the microcontroller board, provided that the microcontroller board is equipped with appropriate headers. Furthermore a Ethernet module with the well-known W5500 Ethernet controller can be integrated.

Everything fits into a 6TE top-hat rail housing, which is available with different front panels.

Product features:

  • Top-hat rail housing with 6 pitch units
  • transparent front panel
  • printed circuit board with plug-in option for Adafruit Feather Boards or Sparkfun Thingplus
  • slot for an optional FeatherWing
  • additional exclusive slot for optional Ethernet module
  • pre-assembled 5V switching regulator (input voltage 9..30V via separate supply terminal)
  • breadboard / breadboard area for own circuit parts
  • all GPIOs of the Featherboard are led out on labeled pins next to the breadboard
  • 2 additional 3pin terminals next to the breadboard for own circuits
  • unused terminals are protected by breakout covers on delivery
  • Reset button on board
