Description

Four-legged bionic spider robot - learning and construction kit for young inventors and technology enthusiasts

The four-legged bionic spider robot from ACEBOTT is an innovative learning kit that provides children, young people and beginners aged 10 and over with an exciting introduction to the world of Robotics, microcontrollers and programming makes it possible. The set combines hands-on learning with creative fun and takes you step by step from assembly to programming your own real, moving robot.

Learning by building and programming

With the bionic spider robot, users learn how robots are really "brought to life". The focus is on the ESP8266 microcontrollera powerful WLAN-enabled board that controls all movements.
The set is available in two learning levels:

  • Beginner course (ACECode):
With the intuitive, graphical programming software ACECode robot movements are created using drag & drop - ideal for young inventors who want to get started without any prior knowledge.

  • Advanced course (Arduino IDE):
Here, users learn the basics of programming and program the robot directly via the Arduino IDE. Perfect for delving deeper into the functionality of microcontrollers and servo drives.

Technical highlights

  • Control via ESP8266 board with WLAN function

  • Servo expansion board for controlling up to 8 servomotors

  • Precise Servo drives for realistic, flowing movements

  • High quality Acrylic components for a stable and modern design

  • WLAN control via app for wireless motion control

  • Compatible with Windows and macOS

Pedagogical concept

The kit has a didactic structure and teaches key skills from the following areas in a fun way:

  • Mechanics and electronics

  • Programming and logic

  • Kinematics and robotics

  • Fine motor skills and technical understanding

Through practical work with real components, children and young people gain a deep understanding of how hardware and software work together - from installing the development environment to implementing their own movement sequences such as walking, turning, dancing or complex routines.

Step-by-step instructions and tutorial videos

All assembly steps are clearly illustrated and supported by video instructions. This makes assembling the spider robot easy to understand and safe - from removing the protective film to connecting the servos and initializing the position.

An accompanying online tutorial also explains the programming in detail and contains numerous extension tasks to creatively apply what you have learned.

App control & creative extensions

The finished robot can be controlled via app using the WLAN function. Thanks to the open program structure, you can develop your own motion sequences and projects - from "robot dancing" to autonomous movements.

The kit is therefore not only a learning project, but also a platform for your own ideas and creative experiments.
